Last of the Birthday Nail Mail

I have finally come to the end of my birthday packages. It's kinda sad that I'm not gonna get surprise packages, but now I get to send surprised packages :D

Helly at Nail Newbie sent me this awesome mini set of Models Own Beetlejuice polishes and a full size of Aqua Violet and adorable little jars of star glitter! I have no idea how the candy was because my brother ate it, but I guess it's fair since he's been stalking the mail man for me all month. I only need 1 more of the original Beetlejuice polishes!

Janelle at Life Love Nailpolish sent me Color Club holos!!!!! I've been dying for these!!! I'm wearing Wild at Heart now and it's FABULOUS! She also sent Swedish Fish, but since they're my favorites, they were gone almost immediately.

Wild at Heart, Fashion Addict, Worth the Rique and
Love 'Em and Leave 'Em

A huge thank you to all the ladies in my birthday group who have completely spoiled me this month. Y'all are the best! :D

Monkey See Monkey Do Monday: Monarch Butterflies

For today's late edition of Monkey See Monkey Do Monday I decided to do butterfly nails. I already had on two coats of Models Own Pink Cocktail and decided to throw this on top.

I still need to practice this technique, but it still catches my eye while wearing it :) I'm not sure who originally did this design and I've seen it on a lot of blogs, so I'm not sure who to credit. Go to google and search "butterfly nails" and check out some of the awesome interpretation.

Untried Month Day 17: Neon Gradient

I recently purchased a couple of the Orly Feel the Vibe Neons and decided to combine them with some other untried neons in a gradient. I painted stripes of each color on my makeup sponge but quickly realized that my nails are not long enough to accommodate all four colors haha. So I decided to randomly combine 2 colors on each of my nails for another skittle mani :)

The gradient looks smother in real life and is much more neon. I sponged over a base coat of Platinum Ice Magic Platinum Base Coat. Neons used: China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy, Orly Glowstick, Orly Beach Cruiser and Models Own Hedonist. This was so summery and I got a lot of compliments!

Birthday Nail Mail Round 3!

Here are the other birthday packages I've been meaning to show you!

This is from the lovely Kathrin! She sent me Barry M Bright Purple and Emerald Green, Fearne Grey and Lime Green, W7 Purple Paradise and 17 Fury, plus nail files, toe separators, nail stickers, polish remover pads, a hair tie and LOTS of awesome candy. This package had 3 brands of polish and lots of candy that was new to me!

Nicole at The Epitome of Superficiality sent me Essence The Dawn is Broken, a set of Australis Polish Pots and this really cool necklace! I had been dying for The Dawn is Broken, so I was really excited when I got it!

The fabulous Zoe at Obsessive Compulsive Nail Painting Disorder sent me 3 of the Models Own Hed Kandi polishes! Disco Heaven, Ibiza Mix and Hedonist. She also sent Max Factor Intense Plum and Disco Pink along with a makeup bag, a nail file, super cute socks and a lip balm. She also send a pack of Starbursts from England. Oh. my. gosh. They were so good!!! They're not in the picture because my brother and I scarfed them down. My favorite was the orange. I usually hate orange candies, but these actually tasted like oranges, so I loved them a lot! These ladies have definitely spoiled me :) All my birthday ladies are the sweetest!

Untried Month Day 14: Disco Nails!

More birthday club polishes! I decided to group these together because they both have disco in the name!

I started with two coats of Max Factor Disco Pink. Since I tend to avoid buying pinks because they're slightly overwhelming in store (there's so many!), this color was unique to my collection. Then I put on one layer of Models Own Disco Heaven.

I really liked this combination. It was so sparkly and girly in the sun. Within the gold glitter of Disco Heaven, there's also iridescent glitter mixed in. It looks blue/green in the bottle, but over the pink it was purplish. I think it's most evident in the next photo. It makes it really interesting. I can't wait to try it over more colors :)

Untried Month Day 13: Max Factor Plum Power and Models Own Ibiza Mix

Howdy! I have am finally feeling like I'm making a dent in my untried stash, but I've still got a long way to go. Today I have two more polishes from my birthday group. I've gotten two more packages which I need to show you! Those will be coming soon :)

This is two coats of Max Factor Plum Power, which is a cute little bottle with an adorable little brush. This polish applied really well. This wasn't on my wishlist, but I really like it! I probably wouldn't have picked it out for myself but I'm so glad to have it in my stash!

Then I added one coat of Models Own Ibiza Mix. I love this glitter! I was so excited when I got it!!! It's got teal, gold and purply-pink glitter. I love all these jewel tones together. It's like a treasure chest on my nails!

Be sure to check out the other ladies' untrieds!

Untried Month Day 4: Models Own Indian Ocean

Models Own Indian Ocean is from the Summer Beetlejuice Collection. This was part of my Spring Surprise. Whenever I pulled this bottle out of the bubble wrap, I was entranced by it's beauty. It's really sheer, so I layered it. I started with two coats of Julep Susie and then added two coats of Indian Ocean.

Isn't this gorgeous! I couldn't stop staring at it. It's really cold and kinda icy. And reminds me of cotton candy. I think that's because of the pink flash within the light blue. And it makes me want to sing Shake Señora ;)

Untried Month Day 3: Models Own Emerald City

Whenever this came in the mail, I was super excited to try it. This is three coats of Models Own Emerald City. I was not in the best of moods when I applied this, so I got a little careless and bumped it against some stuff. But I did ok fixing it, I think. This is a blue-ish green leaning glitter in a clear base a SO PRETTY! It reminds me of a mermaid, so that makes me love it more.

Then I stamped over it with a cool geometric design from a Cheeky plate and a Sally Hansen Chrome Pen in gold. This color dries super fast, so I had issues getting the whole pattern onto my nail.

These colors are so pretty together! I couldn't stop staring at it :) Be sure to check out the other ladies' untrieds!

Hauls and Nail Mail: Birthday Edition!

You guys, I've gotten nail mail every day this week. EVERY DAY! It's been awesome :D Recently, several this have coincided to create this insane week of nail mail. These things were 1.) My awesome friend Melanie had an awesome surprise for me when I picked her up to go see Titanic! (Side note: I hadn't seen Titanic since it was last in theaters. When I was 7. You guys, that movie is...scarring. And slightly traumatic. I was freaking out so much that I was picking polish off my nails. I'm still not sure if I enjoyed it haha.)

Wednesday:
Adorable packaging!

This package was from another birthday group girl! Lexi at Finger Painted. Loved the packaging and the super pretty bubble wrap :) Also, I was super excited that I finally got some of the Burlesque glitter. I LOVE THAT MOVIE. A musical with Cher in it? What's not to love?
Deborah Lippmann Mermaid's Dream, Footloose, and Almost Paradise.
Then my order from HSN. I had planned to buy Mermaid's Dream at Nordstrom in Dallas, but we didn't get to go, so I ordered it online. And threw in a Footloose set that was on clearance.
